Killing ppls

Hi, I have a strange question Why do people kill me in just a few hits, while I can't kill them at all? I often see my damage being only 7/20, even I have better gear than the other person.

I can keep hitting them forever because they heal from mobs, but when they hit me, I die quickly, even if I heal from mobs too. What’s going on? What am I doing wrong?
